Characteristics
  • It is usually a solitary fibro-cemento-osseous lesion
  • Middle aged adults (typically black women).
  • Adjacent teeth: not displaced- not resorbed- typically vital. No expansion

Radiographic appearance

  • Early stage: Radiolucent, not corticated
  • Intermediate stage: Radiopacity within the apical radiolucencies
  • Densely radiopaque but surrounded by a thin radiolucent line.
