Tumors in the sinus .

  • The majority of tumors occurring in the maxillary antrum are of epithelial origin and squamous cell carcinomas correspond to more than 80% of all cases of malignant neoplasms, the adenocystic carcinoma being the second more frequent of them.
  • Small lesions: Soft tissue opacity in the maxillary sinus with variable erosions or destruction of the antral bony walls
  • Large lesions: Total soft tissue opacity in the maxillary sinus with destruction of one or more antral bony walls and extension of the lesion into the soft tissues.
