Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) .

  • It is a benign and relatively rare odontogenic tumor.
  • It develops in young patients (70% of cases are under 20 years old).
  • Most common location: anterior region of the maxilla.
  • The lesion often surrounds the entire unerupted tooth (most commonly the maxillary canine).
  • Radiographically is a well defined and well corticated radiolucency. Some tumors are totally radiolucent, while others show evidence of internal classification, resulting in a mixed radiolucent/radiopaque appearance.
