Cherubism .
- It is a hereditary disorder.
- Clinically it causes bilateral facial swelling in children. The swelling grows progressively without causing pain.
- The radiographic picture is pathognomonic. Bilateral multilocular radiolucencies located at the body and ramus of the mandible. Occasionally it affects both jaws (posterior maxilla).
- Well-defined and well-corticated borders.
- Adjacent teeth: marked displacements, impactions and root resorptions.
- The disease regresses with age.
