  • It is a rare cyst that usually affects children from 5 to 10 years old.
  • Most commonly occurs around the mandibular first molar, followed by the second molar.
  • The associated tooth is vital.
  • Radiographically a well defined radiolucency located in the buccal furcation of the affected molar is seen. The root tips of the involved tooth are often displaced toward the lingual cortical plate.
