- It is an inflammation of the bone marrow. Usually arises from a dental infection.
- The acute phase of the suppurative osteomyelitis is rapid and shows no radiographic signs in first 8-10 days.
- Without treatment the infection may progress into a chronic phase with bone destruction.
- Poorly moth-eaten radiolucency.
