Bone marrow cavity .

  • It is an anatomical variant of enlargement of the marrow spaces between the trabeculae of the spongy bone.  In some instances marrow cavity may resemble and be misinterpreted as a cyst-like  lesion.
  • Most common location  is the mandibular premolar/molar region, due to the presence of the mandibular fossa in this area.
