Buccal biffurcation cyst .
- It is a rare odontogenic cyst that usually affects children from 5 to 10 years old.
- Most commonly occurs around the mandibular first molar, followed by the mandibular second molar.
- The associated tooth is vital.
- Radiographic findings Unilocular radiolucency with well defined borders located in the buccal furcation of the affected tooth. The lesion causes; expansion, thinning and perforation of the buccal cortical plate. The root tips of the involved tooth are often displaced toward the lingual cortical plate.
